When someone says the Geraardsbergen wall, you immediately think of cycling and demarrelling. But did you know that the sides of the wall also have a walking route? You can enjoy the view over the meadows and enjoy the delicacies the city has to offer.
The Gavers
This provincial domain offers space for walking or cycling, and has a beach, a sports and recreation complex and several terraces and cafeterias. There is also a campsite, hiker's huts, bungalows and a youth hostel.
The Raspaille Forest
The Raspaille forest is located on the steep eastern side of the Bosberg. This protected landscape has a rich biodiversity and is also recognised as a silence area.
The River Dender
The Dender is a unique river. Cycling or walking along its meanders full of greenery, you will always find peace. Take your time to stop, look around, enjoy a piece of nature or have a picnic at one of the bridges and locks.
